I can't believe my little baby girl is 9!
I remember when I was pregnant with Mikayla and always wondering what I was having. Maybe this one would be a girl. I had a strong craving for citrus especially orange juice that I never had with the boys. So it made me wonder.
Even before Cameron was born, we had picked out the name Mikayla for a girl. I think I started liking that name in college.
I remember being in very uncomfortable pain with Mikayla shortly before she was born. They even had to give me oxygen. They weren't wanting to give me my epidural before breaking my water because they thought it would slow me down. Well, they broke my water and it really sped things up. I still got my epidural, but not after some very uncomfortable labor pains. My Aunt was there with John and she wasn't too happy about me being in so much pain.
Mikayla was born shortly after 10:00pm weighing in at 5 lbs 14 oz. She was 2 1/2 weeks early.
Around 11:00pm my sister Kalene who had been living in St. Louis at the time, walked into my room. She had tried so hard to get there for the birth but was just a little too late.
I was so excited to be able to have a little girl I could dress in pink. She definitely had a lot of pink too!
Mikayla loves to play with her friends. She is a good note writer too. She loves to write notes and give them to her mom and dad. She is such a good helper to her younger sister Alyssa and likes to read to her.
Have a great birthday Mikayla! We love you and we are so proud of you!

So did you guys plan having all these b-days within weeks and dyas of each other? She sure is a pretty girl. And does she like OJ? I wonder since you craved it during your pregnancy with her.
